• a few kindle questions?

  
  i’m debating on getting a kindle. i like the idea of having so many books with me at one time!
  but i do have a few questions about it before i get one.
  1-do they sell kindle covers or cases?
  2-can you put EBook on a kindle? like the ones you buy from ebay or get with your college text books.
  3-also can you add adobe reader things to your kindle?
  4-is amazon the only place to buy kindle books?

• How can you read a PDF ebook on a portable device, beside a laptop?

  
  I have thousands of ebooks in PDF format. I am looking for a way to read them, other than with a PC. Kindle does not handle them natively, Sony eReader does not offer any zoom feature. Palm or Pocket PC turn them into 2000+ pages due to the small screen…
  Does any one has a different suggestion?

• What kind of CD do I use for ebooks?

  
  I have a bunch of ebooks on my computer and i decided to free up some space by putting all of them on a bunch of CD’s but i dont know what kind to use. CD-R or CD-W or what? I could use a USB but I’d rather use CD’s.

  I’ve heard great things about the kindle. But its sold out and i would have to wait 5 months or something just to get it. There are other ebooks like the sony reader. Is there a big difference between the kindle and other ebooks. If not id get the sony reader

• Is there any good cheap portable pdf reader?

  
  I have many ebooks in PDF format. I would like to be able to read it anywhere. I do not need wireless connectivity or other bell and whistles. Just a simple (update-able if possible) PDF reader. Is there any decent and cheap one out there ? Kindle and Sony are $300 and above. Anything with $100-$150 range ?

• Whats the difference in audio book formats?

  
  I want to pre-order the book Mistral’s kiss on unabridged audio cd but I’m not sure which format to buy. They have one with the bar code 1423322304 that says unabridged lib ed for $70.72, one with barcode 1423322290 unabridged edition for $25.71 and one with barcode 1423322312 mp3 cd unab mp3 edition for $ 16.47. They all say they are unabridged audio cd. Whats the diffrence?
