• How to protect my copyright?

  
  I have an ebook I’ve written and I’m having LOTS of trouble with all the template/cover stuff. I’m a writer not a techy. Anyway, I found a firm on E-lance that will do the whole formatting job for a good price.

  My concern is that I have to hand over my work for them to install the template, etc. I’m worried that they could take my work, alter it, and sell it themselves. There would be no way to know.

  Should I just learn how to do this stuff or trust that they will not rip me off?

  It’s a non fiction book so it’s not like there will be people clamoring to get a copy, but I’d **** to put in all that work and have someone else profit from it.

• I’m writing an ebook and don’t want to get in trouble for “copyright infringement”. How do I avoid it?

  
  I plan to write my own ebook on dating and relationships to eventually sell online. Seems like “David Deangelo” have a copyright on dating Advice…I’ve noticed that there are not a lot of ebooks out there on this topic and “Double your Dating” by David Deangelo seems to be everywhere on the Internet.

  I’m worried that I might get sued by him for copyright infringement if I make my own ebook. I have never read any of his books or anyone elses, so I have no idea what his techniques are, but if they work they are probably similar to mine.

  Should I worry? How do I avoid copyright infringement?

• Can I resell ebooks ?

  
  I have seen lots of ebooks on ebay with traders advertising that they have resell rights. Does this mean I can just buy their ebook and resell it on ebay with no comebacks? There dosen’t appear to be copyrights on these cook ebooks and I;m wondering how some sellers can say that they have resell, does it mean they are the author of the ebook? please advise

  Whats the difference between that and selling used tangible books and CD’s? I am not taking credit for the ebook, nor am I selling it, although it can be downloaded. Whats the difference?

  I recently bought an ebook that just contained more ads then content and I wanted to request a refund. The website taht i bought it from said i needed to test all “tactics” first before i could get one but I think this is in violation of US law. Am i right?
